A new beginning………
I felt that the top line was the only way to start this week’s
update. Cause this article has gotten what I can only describe as “a
new beginning this week”’
We have had people coming forward that has never spoke up before,
those helping unite in ways that they never have in the past and
people taking a stand and action like I have not seen in my 6 months
of working on this article.
I had a layout planed for the 26th weekly update being that it is
officially the 6-month anniversary of this article, but with
personal issues taking me away from things for a few days the
article kid of took on a new beginning and this is the most
appropriate time I can see to acknowledge it.
Debbi and I would like everyone for their efforts and teamwork. We
look forward to seeing this teamwork continue as we get closer to
our day of victory.
We would not have made it this far if it was not for each and every
one of you.
We have a few topics to cover this week. We will be putting the
focus on other cases by the Lee County Sheriff’s Dept and take a
look at how they were handled as opposed to this case. We will also
take a deeper look into some of the issues involving this case.
So please read closely and follow along. I think you’ll find this to
be an interesting update.
One of our readers found some interesting information. It seams that
a woman supposedly saw the longhaired blond man, wearing the
blue /white striped shirt. This was on 166, right down the road from
Lee Road 401 where the murders took place.
The reader who found this information found some additional
information as well.
This information is not directly related to the case at hand, but
does reflect on the Sheriff’s Dept that we are questioning as well
as officials surrounding the area.

Former Opelika policeman indicted in sex abuse caseOPELIKA, Ala.
(AP) -- Former Opelika police officer Keith Preer has been indicted
and arrested on two counts of sexual abuse, second-degree. Preer was
also the head D.A.R.E. officer for Opelika City Schools.
According to Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones, Preer turned himself in
around 5 p.m. yesterday. He has since been released on a four-
thousand dollar bond.
Preer was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month. He had
resigned from the police department November 28th following his
arrest on November 16th.
Auburn police said a complaint was filed against Preer, a nine-year
veteran, in the summer of 2005.
Lee County District Attorney Nick Abbett said under Alabama law,
second-degree sexual abuse is a Class A misdemeanor that involves a
victim older than 12 years-old and younger than 16.

Lee sheriff's deputies assisting in hunt for Russell jail escapees
(Note that They had 35 law enforcement agencies looking for these
people...but not the killer of your boys)
Lee County law enforcement officials have joined Russell County
sheriff’s deputies, Phenix City police and officers from both
Alabama and Georgia in the hunt for two jail escapees accused of
murder.
Investigators from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are assisting
Russell County Sheriff Tommy Boswell with a multi-agency task force
formed to help recapture the two, who escaped from the Russell
County Jail early Saturday.
The task force is made up of about 35 law enforcement agents from
surrounding departments, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the
U.S. Marshal’s Service.
“We have two of our investigative personnel assigned to the task
force,” said Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones on Monday.
“As far as I know, they called for assistance from surrounding
regional agencies,” Jones said. “Of course, at Sheriff Boswell’s
request we are glad to do anything to help out.”
Seventeen-year-old Johnny Earl Jones and 19-year-old Lamar Elan
Benton, along with 33-year-old Brent Edward Martin, escaped just
after midnight Saturday morning.
Authorities say the three men beat one correctional officer and
stabbed another 15 times before jumping the jail’s fence. Both
officers are now recovering at home, officials said.
Martin, who is accused of shooting two men in the head in September,
was caught within hours of his escape.
As of presstime Monday, however, both Jones and Benton remained on
the loose. Both escapees are considered armed and dangerous.
Jones is charged in the June 2005 beating death of 2-year-old
Destiny Ward, whom he was baby-sitting.
Benton is accused in the February 2005 rape and murder of Cynthia
Thomas, a mother of three.
“We’re doing everything that we can do to locate them and get them
back into custody,” Boswell said Monday afternoon. “(We’ll) be
continuing the search until we have these individuals back in
custody.”
On Monday, the search took deputies and officers to a number of
locations including the Frederick Douglas apartment complex in
Phenix City.
“We feel like there’s a good possibility that they’re still in the
area,” Boswell said.
Jones said that as a general rule, the odds are good for
apprehending and returning escapees.

BEAUREGARD -- An Opelika man apparently high on cocaine died after
snatching a female deputy out of her cruiser, leading authorities on
a high-speed chase, beating another deputy over the head with a
nightstick and running into the woods.
Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said James Keith Cannon, 34, died of
a probable cocaine-induced heart attack? After the violent
altercations on Lee Roads 401 and 166.
Three sheriff’s deputies were injured while trying to subdue Cannon,
according to the sheriff’s office.
Cannon, 34, of 261 Lee Road 632 in Opelika, was finally restrained
by sheriff’s deputies on Lee Road 166 about a mile south of Mike’s
Gas and Grocery store. A short time after he was taken from the
woods, Cannon stopped breathing, according to Lee County Sheriff Jay
Jones. Deputies immediately responded with CPR, Jones said.
Emergency medical technicians arrived on the scene and continued
CPR. Cannon was taken to East Alabama Medical Center, where
treatment continued. Cannon was pronounced dead at 10:24 a.m. at
EAMC, Harris said.
Cannon’s body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensics
Sciences? Lab in Montgomery for autopsy.
The bizarre morning began at about 9 a.m. when the sheriff’s office
received a report of a suspicious person near a residence on Lee
Road 401, according to Jones. Before deputies arrived, the suspect
reportedly attempted to take a pickup truck, but was unable to
overtake the driver of the vehicle and was thrown to the ground.
Deputy Sheriff Jessica Daley, a two-year veteran with the office,
arrived on the scene and an altercation ensued when she encountered
Cannon, Jones said. Cannon overpowered Daley and made off in her
patrol car, Jones added. A second car already responding to the
scene was soon chasing Cannon in the stolen cruiser down Lee Road
401, which merged with 166. That’s where Cannon struck a car that
was trying to avoid him, crashed through several mailboxes and came
to a stop in a ditch. The elderly driver and passenger of the car
Cannon struck were not injured, according to Capt. Van Jackson of
the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Jessie Moore, who lives nearby and was near the scene, was startled
by what he heard.
I was out there putting a water pump on my daughter’s car, then I
heard it Boom! He said of Cannon’s alleged accident. I saw him
walking up and down the road. He kept saying? Don’t kill me! Don’t
kill me! I didn’t know why he would say that. I didn’t see anybody
else. Then I saw all the sheriffs (deputies) coming.
A bloody fight soon followed.
According to Jones, Cannon fled on foot, with deputies giving chase.
Four officers scuffled with Cannon before getting him under control.
During the struggle, Cannon struck Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Scivicque
with a nightstick taken from one of the officers, according to
Jones.
There was a very violent struggle and it took four of our people to
get him under control, Jones said.
Scivicque, who has been with the sheriff’s office for a year,
received severe cuts on his head and was treated with stitches.
Jones said Daley suffered what is believed to be a broken thumb and
several lacerations. Investigator Ray Smith, who has been with the
office for 2½ years, experienced facial numbness and was examined at
the hospital. All three were treated and released, Jones said.
We have been in contact with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation
and they are on their way, Jones said. ? We’ll turn what we have
over to them. Any time we have law enforcement personnel involved i
a death like this, we ask an independent agency to handle the
investigation.
Cannon, a heavy machine operator, contacted his employer, D&J
Enterprises Inc., Friday morning, alerting them to when he may
arrive for work. A co-worker as a well-liked individual described
cannon.
By 9:45 a.m., roughly 15 to 20 sheriff’s deputies? Vehicles had
already responded to the scene, setting up roadblocks on either side
to block traffic. Some motorists were left frustrated when they were
asked to either sit tight or find alternate routes to their
destinations.
What happened?? One woman asked.
Then she blurted in frustration, you just don’t want to tell me, do
you??
Beauregard High student Rex Newman, who spent much of Friday morning
enduring workouts at the school, patiently waited near the parking
lot of Mike’s Gas and Grocery. He lived near the scene, but sat on
the hood of his car and wondered what was going on in front of his
house. He couldn’t head home to find out.
I asked if I could walk home from here, He said. But he (a deputy)
said no. That’s cool, though.
Newman seemed a bit surprised to find a wealth of commotion in front
of his house.
We don’t see too much out here, he said. It’s usually quiet. There’s
not much happening.
Jones thanked the Opelika Police Department for assisting in the
incident, handling traffic and getting involved in the pursuit.
What does all this mean to us?
In the words of the reader who found it, “I found these for you real
quick, read about the "apparent" cocaine over dose and about the cop
down. You will love how they call out the National Guard.... almost,
for themselves...but not for Daniel and his friends.”
My views on this is that the Lee County Sheriff’s dept. know when
they need help, they know how to get things done, they know what to
do.
Why didn’t they get the help in the case of these boys, why didn’t
they do what they should have done in the investigation of these
boys murders and why has Jones had so little to say about what was
considered the “most horrific case in the history of Lee County”
when he had no problem speaking up on these other cases?
It seams that each answer we come across brings up two more
questions.
These are only a few samples. As previously stated Jones has a very
good history on paper, why take a chance now on letting it get
destroyed by being silent?
We need to start taking some additional looks at the
first “official” person on the scene at both the boy’s murders and
Vaughan’s “suicide”.
That’s right. Ralph Hall!
This man is a volunteer and donates his time to help, so he would
have you believe.
Lets now look at the facts.
Hall is out of work on disability in part due to the headaches he
was having that prevented him form performing his duties at work.
These debilitating conditions apparently only applied to a work
setting. I say this because he has a history (which has been
verified in this case) of being able to deal with the flashing
lights and sirens on his truck. If this man has this condition, he
should not be racing around to crime scenes and playing with his
pretty flashing lights and sirens. Anyone with a history of
migraines will tell you that if your condition is bad enough to
prevent you from working, the lights and noise will also trigger it.
Hall also equipped his truck with the lights and sirens shortly
before the murders of these 3 boys. This is not an expense that you
go through on a truck you are not planning to keep. I know because
my truck was equipped with all this due to my wok with the NYPD in
the past, and I know the cost involved.
Yet shortly after the boys murders, Hall got a new truck. Though I
do not live off disability, I do know that they do not pay enough to
through good money away.
This raises the following questions in my eye:
Why was Hall the first “official” person on both scenes?
What did Hall know/see that we didn’t hear about?
Why did Hall put this money into his old truck if he was going to replace it?
Where did the money come from to buy this new truck?
Was Hall involved in something that we do not know about or did he just step into this money and decide to invest it in a vehicle?
Was Hall involved in the murders of the boys and Vaughan or was it a
coincidence that he was the first on both scenes?
If Hall had this debilitating condition, why would the Lee County
Sheriff’s Department approve him for his position as a volunteer of
this nature?
If Hall’s condition did not allow him to work, it should have
prevented him from his duties with the fire dept and sheriff’s
dept., is he defrauding the government and disability, if so
shouldn’t his creditability have been questioned in this case? After
all, if he is in fact lying to the government and disability, how do
we know he is not covering up anything in this case?
Please be aware that it has not been proven that Hall has in fact
defrauded anyone as of yet, this is based on information provided by
locals that worked with Hall and others who know him from the
community.
However if it is ever proven that Hall does have this condition, is
declared disabled due to the migraines and is/has been performing
duties that are contradicting his disabilities as well as came up
with funds for a new truck that are un accountable for, this would
create some major issues in this case.
Do you the readers feel this is a topic for discussion as a group,
the Lee County Sheriff’s Dept, the IRS or the Alabama Dept of
Disability?
Please provide you’re input, we need to look into this as a group
and follow up on it as one too.

I appreciate everything you do Artie, and thanks for going including the details, you've written about and "brought to life" in this latest article (part 26) of "In Search For The Truth".
I'd also like to publicly THANK YOU, for all the energy, time, and resources you have donated, FREE OF CHARGE~~for the last 6 months~~ which allowed the Public, Media, and "Higher Officials" to view and acknowledge the numerable conflicting, deceiving/contradicting/ and deceptive facts.
These facts are consistent throughout the Lee County Sheriff Department's Investigation, concerning the actions of the Officials/records/files~~ of these (3) Young Men, and Mr. Vaughan~~!!!
I CAN NOT BELIEVE, LEE COUNTY OFFICIALS, allowed this much
MAN-POWER, to catch (3) Russell County Escapees"~~!!!
It is not the fact the Lee County Officials, provided, this many Officers to "hunt and capture", these inmates, I am questioning~~!!!
But the fact, WHEN (3) YOUNG MEN WERE MURDERED IN COLD~BLOOD,
the L.C.S.D. sent AWAY OFFICIALS, from Alabama State and Local Officers~~!!!
I understand the importance of finding these "escapee's" because of the danger it could have resulted with-in, the Community.
WHAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND~~~~~~~~~
Is WHY THESE SAME OFFICIALS, did NOT investigate my Son Daniel,
and his friends, Scooter and Jason~~~~~Case, as thoroughly, as these Cases, you have presented to us, in this article~~!!!
WERE OUR CHILDREN'S MURDERS~~~ AND THE PERSON WHO WAS RESPONSIBILE~~~~NOT AS IMPORTANT AS THESE "ESCAPEE'S"~~~BEING CAUGHT~???
I further question, WHY A SUSPECT, was injured so badly, THAT IT RESULTED IN HIS DEATH~~~~~ when this suspect was so out-numbered, by deputies~~~and WAS apparently INJURED when "this very violent struggle" took place between deputies/suspect~~!!!
Certainly with this much man-power, this suspect,
COULD HAVE BEEN APPREHENDED,
without such force his injuries, would eventually end in him COLLAPSING, and DYING, short time later!!!!!!
Why was this suspect seen walking up and down the road, repeating:
"DON'T KILL ME, DON'T KILL ME"~~~???
It seems to me, this suspect had been PREVIOUSLY threatened, by these Officials, and FEARED FOR HIS LIFE, in some way~~!!!
In my opinion, it seems the Lee County Sheriff Department, DID NOT HAVE ANY PART, OF THIS SITUATION UNDER CONTROL~~!!!
MUCH LIKE THE SCENE WHERE THE BOY'S bodies, were discovered.
In the 3 Boy's situation, the L.C.S.D.
DID NOT MANAGE THE SCENE,
or conduct the proper protocol,
and they did not do/complete the proper forensic testing, that was required/available, TO THEM~~!!!
The number of Deputies, that were involved in this Case~~in relationship to this (1) suspect, IS UNBELIEVEABLE~~!!!
It would seem SURELY~~the deputies could have handled this situation, in a much better way, to insure the well being of their suspect~~!!!
Why was it necessary, to have (15-20) ADDITIONAL DEPUTIES, respond to the scene, to apprehend this suspect~~~???
Why was the F.B.I. called in by Sheriff Jones, to ASSIST
the L.C.S.D.
in providing an investigation to answer questions concerning the "injuring/which resulted in death" of this suspect.
The investigation was ordered by Sheriff Jones, and in addition, Sheriff Jones requested an "outside agency", to assist.
What was the reasoning, behind calling in a Federal Agency~~~???
DID SHERIFF JONES FEEL, THIS WAS AN UN~NECCESARY DEATH, of this suspect~~~???
Or was this "outside agency", (the F.B.I.) called in because Sheriff Jones felt there would be questions asked about the results in his Deputies performance/apprehension, of this suspect~~~
noting, this apprehension was "so very violent of a struggle",
the neighbor even questioned the Deputies response/given to this suspect.
Why could this suspect not be apprehended without causing fatal injuries, when so many deputies were present to arrest him~~???
I KNOW ALL THE PARENTS DISAGREED, AND QUESTIONED THE L.C.S.D.
entire investigation and the involvement of Ralph Hall, the number of times the "suicide note", was described as being,
(written, typed, computer hard-drive, floppy disc, etc.)
the type of WEAPON USED TO MURDER, Our Children,
(weapon has never been described/found)
and many many more details~~!!!
These details were CONSTANTLY BEING ALTERED~~
BY SHERIFF JONES~~AND~~HIS INVESTIGATORS~~!!!!
If an outside agency, such as the F.B.I,
had BEEN INVOLVED from the beginning~~as in this Case,
(in this part 26 article)
The Parents, Family Members, and Friends, of these (3) Young Men~~
would NEVER HAVE GONE THROUGH THE HELL~~They All~~have been put through in the last 2 1/2 years, by the L.C.S.D. ~~!!!
We would have had the additional Agency involved, with the (3) Boy's case from the "get-go",
as D.A. Abbett PROMISED, THESE BOY'S PARENTS,
in the first few days, this investigation was taking place~~!!!
Not One Official, from the Lee County Sheriff Department, including Sheriff Jay Jones, and District Attorney Nick Abbett,
EVER EXPLAINED TO THESE PARENTS OR ANYONE,
why previous statements were suddenly being contradicted~~!!!
This is WHY, the assistance of an Agency, such as the F.B.I.~~ Alabama Bureau of Investigations~~or~~the U.S. Marshall~~etc,
WOULD HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL,
in the duration of this homicide investigations, the initial crime scenes recovery/analysis regarding evidence/during the entire duration of these said, investigations~~!!!
If there was EVER A CASE,
where questions were risen, or the need for an ADDITIONAL OUTSIDE AGENCY TO BE PROVIDED,
it would certainly have to include~~the Homicides of:
Daniel S. Foster, Scooter Stephens, and Jason Barr~~~~
Also included, are many questions regarding
The Cases of the "supposed suicide victim, Mr. Vaughan"
and "Grand Jury Hearing"/Legal Ruling of a "no bill" verdict,
in regards to Mr. Vaughan's death/"supposed suicide" and also his guilt and/or innocence.
SHERIFF JONES AND D.A. ABBETT, DID NOT FEEL regarding these
(2) Cases, it to be necessary to involve an "Outside Agency",
such as in these Cases, described, above~~

regarding OUR 3 CHILDREN'S CASE~~~~when he did so,
for other cases, far less horrific~~???
Why is Jones not responding to questions asked about these (3) Boy's case,
and Mr. Vaughan's apparent suicide,
to the parents, to the families, to the Lee County Community, and to ALL OF YOU,
who requested answers in the mail-out "The Weekly News" participated in, last month~~????
I'd also like to add a few more questions regarding this subject~~of my own~!!!
WHY DID Investigator Jordan me the night these horrendous crimes were committed, that BOTH OF MY SON'S WERE INVOLVED, WITH THIS CASE~~??
Why did Sheriff Jones refuse all help,
(that was ALREADY PRESENT)
concerning THE BOY'S MURDER SCENE~~~when in these other Cases, he actually CALLED IN an additional Agency, to assist~~???
Why do Officials, NOT KNOW WHAT TYPE OF WEAPON was used in the (3)Boy's murders, yet casings and bullet fragments were collected/retrieved, and turned over to the Alabama Forensics Laboratory~~???
Why was one of the "Chief Medical Examiners" who performed
the (3) Boy's autopsies and Mr. Vaughan's autopsy~~~~
NOT ALLOWED~~~to go back to the crime scene, and make his own evaluation about what happened, and report his findings to the Parents~~~~when he asked permission to do so~~???
Why did the L.C.S.D. change their theories so many times, yet NEVER EXPLAINED WHY, these theory were being changed~~~ to something totally different~~???
(it was never explained by anyone, why the contradictions took place and no one ever included previous theories~~~then added additional information~~~??)
Instead the theories that were being described to the Families, were were nothing like~~~previous claims~~and no explanation of why these changes were now being told to Parents as the
true accounts/facts~~~were ever explained by L.C.S.D.)~~????
Why was Mrs. Vaughan's interview questions so vague concerning the facts and Ralph Hall, WAS NEVER interviewed/interrogated,
by Sheriff Jones~~??,
(as anyone of us would have been)
When someone is present, and witnessed such vital information, to solve these homicides~~???~~Why were Officials not asking questions that would result in ANSWERS,
regarding the (3) Boy's Case~~??
Why was the "supposed suicide note", always stated to Parents, as NOT BEING SIGNED BY MR. VAUGHAN, but when the Opelika-Auburn Daily News printed this note in the newspaper, (which was provided by the Attorney General's Office)
the "suicide note" WAS SIGNED~~and contained not only (1) signature, but (2)~~????
Why does Mr. Vaughan's signature NOT MATCH ON THE SUICIDE NOTE, supposedly left by Mr. Vaughan, to ANY OTHER LEGAL DOCUMENTS, that were signed by, Mr. Vaughan regarding the purchasing of firearms~~???
Why was Daniel's fingernails, not checked as were Jason and Scooter's, for foreign D.N.A.~~??
Daniel was the closest to the "shooter" and if anyone got any type of a DNA transfer
(from the shooter to themselves it would have been Daniel)
So why was Daniel, the only one of the (3) Boy's who DIDN'T HAVE THE DNA (finger nail scraping) testing performed, (to show the exchange of DNA, between the parties involved) and a possible match to be able to IDENTIFY, a possible SUSPECT~~??
Why~~!!!~~!!! Will Sheriff Jones and D.A. Abbett~~~
NOT ADMIT PUBLICLY, Mr. Vaughan died from MULTIPLE SHOTS TO THE HEAD, instead of consistently stating, Mr. Vaughan only had (1) shot to the head~~??~~??
Why were NO BULLET FRAGMENTS FOUND/LOCATED at Mr. Vaughan's "supposed suicide"~~??
Where did the weapons that Captain James Majors told Jennifer Ryan, Renee' Murphy and myself about......... WHERE DID THESE WEAPONS GO~~??and WHY~~!!! did these weapons suddenly "NEVER FOUND~~?? or confiscated~~?? by the L.C.S.D. and other Federal Officials in Columbus, Georgia~~???
Why was I denied access to, THE GRAND JURY TRANSCRIPTS,
and told by D.A. Abbett,
these files were sealed forever, by the Judge who officiated over the trial~~??~~??when ScootersMom acknowledged, Wanda, Wayne and herself~~ went to the Justice Center in Lee County, Alabama and were granted access~~to these same records~~that
I WAS NOT ALLOWED, TO VIEW~~???
WHY WAS THE SEAL BROKEN for these Other Parents, and not myself~~???
These are a few of my questions for D.A. Abbett, and Sheriff Jones and his Investigative Division, THAT I, MYSELF~~~WOULD LIKE TO ASK~~AND RECIEVE~~ANSWERS TOO~~!!!~~!!!~~!!!
I guess the message, I am trying to convey is:
WHY ARE THERE SOOOOOO MANY QUESTIONS UNANSWERED, REGARDING THESE (3) BOY'S, AND MR. VAUGHAN'S CASE~~??~~??~~??
WHY DID D.A. ABBETT STATE: "There's nothing left to discuss. We presented it to a Grand Jury and they found that Vaughan likely killed the young men and then killed himself. What more is there to do?"

Could you possibly send letters to your congressman and ask, not only as a parent but as a voter and a taxpayer,to please find a way to help you? I know you have sent out letters, but cant remember if ones to congressmen and represenitives were among them. Surely,one of them can tell you something?

I had to run into my surgeon today. The operation is set for Friday at 3:30pm. They put it in writing this time.
We have enough people to hold things together while I am out. I will be available by phone by Sunday the latest to help as much as I can.
Lets hope the date dont change AGAIN and lets show any officials that may be reading along just how much team work we can have when we put out minds to it.

Sending letters to Congressman, as one of the Parents of these Boy's, and also as a ~~voter~~taxpayer~~resident of Alabama~~
is AN EXCELLENT IDEA.
I have previously sent, a letter to the Attorny Generals Office twice, and also the Governor of Alabama.
I was also told by my attorney, (who is representing me in my disability case)~~~~~the Attorney General...........................
is the person I need to inform, regarding this Case, and try and attempt to talk it over with~!!!~!!!
Mr. McDermott stated yesterday to me, the Attorney Generals Office DOES NOT RESPOND well, to phone calls and/or registered letters. McDermott also gave advice of "going to speak to the Attorney General, in person~~~would be the best~~~and added~~~~
"this would surely begin the process, of the re-opening of your Son's Case"~~~!!!~!!!
I am sure Artie, would design another letter, for all the Readers of The Weekly News, to attempt, another mail-out.
But our last mail-out, was not as successful as I, had hoped.
I DO APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU, who kept your word, to me!!!!!!!
There was only, a total of (11) people, who actually mailed the letters~~~ to the television/newspaper medias~~~~~Art and I, had given out~!!!!!

I was not asking for you to fly to Alabama until after your surgery, anyway.
Depending on how much physical therapy, you will require to finish out the therapy/rehabilitation for your neck caused by the wreck a month or so, ago~~~
I was thinking in 5-6 weeks, just before/just after~~~~Christmas.
If you think this is a possibility, I can call the Attorney General's Office, and see how long of a delay the A.G. has, before your actually seen by him, after you set the appointment.
Also let me know who else, you feel would be the best to contact,as well~!!!
Such as the Governor of Alabama,
Alabama Bureau of Investigations, etc~~This way, we could utilize Your being here, as much as possible~!!!

I am now back online. I have gone back to read and catch up on things and realize I need to clear something up. Wanda, Wayne and I did go to the LCSD and asked to see the files. We went over their files and had a long talk to Jordan. Jay Jones told us we could read the files that Abett has but when we went there he was to be in court with a trial and we did not get to see them but are waiting on a phone call to be able to see them. He is suppose to be in court most of this week. As soon as I have read these files I will let you know of anything that I know.
Debbie in our conversation I forgot to ask you if it was you that put the pretty flowers on my son's grave? I think it was because there is the same kind of flowers on Daniel's. If it was THANK YOU. I have seen alot of different things on the graves that show how much our children were cared for, but that man keeps giving me a hard time as to there being to much on the graves. The one time that there was something on there that I really disagreed with they did nothing about it. I always go to all three gravesites and someone had put empty rifle shells on all three. There were two on Scooter's and two on Jason's and one on Daniel's. I found this to be very upsetting. Debbie as sonn as I read these files I will tell you. I think that putting something on this blog has affected my spelling I keep having to go back and correct myself and it is taking me forever to type this little bit.

When you talked to me today, you said Mr. Abbett told all of you he'd allow you to view, the Grand Jury Transcripts.
Did he say he would let you only read them, or was he going to make copies of them, for you?
If this happens, this would be great~~~Possibly, the answers to all of our questions, are actually in these transcripts......but then
WHY???

not just tell us what was in them?
When I asked Mr. Abbett to let me have copies of all the files, and the Grand Jury Transcripts,
(which you can get these after the case is closed by the Freedom of Information Act)
or at least let me to read them,
(because he'd let me read the others)
Abbett told me, No!
Then I asked Abbett if he could tell me verbally, what these records contained because I knew of no evidence to tie Mr. Vaughan to the deaths of the boy's, and would he please tell me the information that the Grand Jury heard and made their ruling from.
Abbett again said, No!
When I asked Why, I was allowed to see these other records, but not the Grand Jury ones, that actually closed this Case...he told me because these records were sealed immediately after the verdict came in, and these records could NEVER BE VIEWED...Judges orders!
Could you PLEASE~???
If you are allowed to see the Grand Jury transcripts, call me, please~~ where I could ask you what information was on them, and we could talk about what closed the Boy's Case,

There is something, that Officials are NOT INCLUDING~~when they explain the details of this Case to us.
When we all have read these records,
maybe we could get together and try and figure out the details that don't make sense to us.
Of course this would be only possible, if there is ACTUALLY SOMETHING ON THE GRAND JURY RECORDS,
because what I saw on the L.C.S.D. reports, just made me, have more questions, and really convenience me that Officials DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING to even consider who, had done these murders!

I try and always add things, for all of the Boy's, each time I go.
I change stuff/add stuff, every month or so, I hope you don't care.
I go to all 3 of the Boy's graves, when I visit, too.

nothing is tipped over, needs something, to water the live plants,
and to pay my respects.
I enjoy doing little things for the Boy's like this,
and unless one of the Parents, won't allow me,
I probably, always will.
I had also heard about the empty shell casings,
found at each one of the Boy's graves.
I thought Earl told me, he was the one that found them....but maybe it's the opposite, and he meant they had been found on Jason's grave too.
Then, Earl asked me~~ if I had been the one who had put the casings, on the boy's, headstones???????~!!!!!
This upset me to the point~~after I got off the phone~~I started to cry.
I couldn't believe Earl, or anyone else either~~would think I had disrespected our children, like this~~!!~~
To me~this is a sign/signal/reminder~~!!~~
In my opinion it can only mean 1 thing~~!!
These were placed on the Boy's headstones, and the correct amount of casings~~were exactly how many times each of the Boy's~~~had been shot~~!!~~

is the man your talking about.
Percy tells everyone if there is too much stuff, on the plot.
Percy used to get onto me, too.
Now, I trade stuff out, and try and keep things orderly and not spread out too much.
But in the winter-time, Percy really doesn't care what is on the site,
as long as there isn't a whole bunch still remaining~~when it gets time to start mowing, again in the spring~~!!
I know the first time I went to the cemetery,
and realized stuff was missing, I about freaked.
I went up and asked Percy, where everything went. Did someone steal it? That's when he told me, they had some kind of "cemetery inspections", and the inspectors would not allow too much stuff, per grave. He also told me, everything that was missing, he had taken off and it was on the wooden shelf, in his office storage room.

I just wanted to introduce myself, I am Hillary. I will be helping out till Art recovers from his surgery. I will make a post tomorrow night letting everyone know how the operation turns out.

Just wanted to update you all, on what I will be doing, and the reason I will not be able to answer your posts, until Tuesday!!!!!
I received a call from my Sister, tonight(Thursday)and she told me my Mom was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance this morning.
Apparently, my MaMa had taken one of her dogs to the veterinarian this morning, for shots. When she was leaving, somehow she tripped and fell. The vet office called an ambulance, and my Mom is presently STILL IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, with a fractured hip.
When I called tonight, no one at the hospital could advise me of anything.
All they would say is she is stable, and is awaiting the Doctor on call, to admit her into a room.
I do not know if she has to have surgery tonight, to set her hip.
I don't know how her hip is fractured, just that,they have taken
an x-ray, given her pain medication, and she is still in the DAMN Emergency Room!!!!!
I'll be leaving here at around 4:00am, to drive to Florida,
and hopefully, be able to take care of Mom.
All of her critters and I, will be staying at her home, especially at night....So if any of you need to call, or want to chat........
just call my cell phone, I'll have it with me!

Depending on MaMa's condition(which I wish I knew what that was)

OK PROBABLE MEANS : ADJECTIVE:1: Likely to happen or to be true. 2: Likely but uncertain; plausible. 3: Theology Of or relating to opinions and actions in ethics and morals for whose lawfulness intrinsic reasons or extrinsic authority may be adduced. So basically this is opinions not facts according to the dictionary definition!! Since when is it common proceedure for a Coroner to give their opinion on a death , I was under the understanding that it was a fact when "Cause of Death" was answered on a death certificate? I admitt I am not that knowledgeable of death certificates, and the wording but I thought it said on them "Cause of Death"? and then the Coroner filled in the Blank as to what actually had caused a persons death? , not his "opinion" as to what caused it??!!! NOW IF THIS DOESN'T RAISE SOME RED FLAGS I THINK EITHER THESE GOVENMENT OFFICIALS ARE BLIND, OR CAN'T READ, NOR HEAR, AND NEED TO BE REPLACED!!!! AND THEN FOR THIS OMG HOW CAN THEY THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IGNORE THIS COMMENT MADE BY JONES HIMSELF "WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE ALABAMA BUREAU OF INVESTIGATON AND THEY ARE ON THEIR WAY, JONES SAID. WE'LL TURN WHAT WE HAVE OVER TO THEM. ANY TIME WE HAVE LAW ENFORECEMENT PERONNEL INVOLVED IN A DEATH LIKE THIS, WE AK AN INDEPENDENT AGENCY TO HANDLE THE INVESTIGATION." WELL, THEY SURE NEVER HANDED NOR CALLED IN ANY INDEPENDENT AGENCY FOR THE BOYS NOW DID THEY? AND THEIR REASONS DEFENDING THEIR ACTIONS ON ANY CASE VERSES THE BOYS CASE IS WHAT? I LIKELY THINK IT VERY PROBABLE OF A COVER UP, CORRUPTION , DECEPTION, CROOKED INDIVIDUALS WHO WORK FOR THE LEE COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND OTHERS INVOLVED WITH THIS DEPARTMENT!!! THIS STORY ABOUT CANNON HAS WHAT 3 VERSIONS? NON CORRALATED WITH JONES OR HIS DEPUTIES??? WHY IS THAT? IS IT LIKELY SOMEONE HAD PROBABLE CAUSE TO LIE JUST A BIT HERE?? LIKELY SO IS MY OPINION!!!
BOTTOM LINE IS THE ALABAMA GOVENMENT NEEDS TO GET UP OFF THEIR ASSES AND RE-INVESTIGATE THIS TRIPPLE HOMICIDE AND FIND OUT THE TRUTH OF WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!! NOT LIKELY HAPPENED, OR PROBABLE , BUT THE FACTS WITH EVIDENCE BACKING UP THEIR FACTS REGUARDLESS IF THIS MEANS ONE OF THEIR SO CALLED "BROTHERS" WERE INVOLVED IN THIS HOMICIDE, ALL THE MORE REASONS THEY THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD RE-OPEN THIS INVESTIGATION IS TO PROVE BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT WITH FACTS , EVIDENCE, THE WHOLE NINE YARDS INCLUDING THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL HONESTY!! TO PROVE THAT THEIR SO CALLED "BROTHERS" AND INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED WITH THE SO CALLED "BROTHERS" ARE INNOCENT OF ANY AND ALL INVOLVEMENT OF THIS TRIPPLE HOMICIDE!! YET THEY SEEM TO JUST KEEP IGNORING ALL FACTS OF CORRUPTION OF INVESTIGATION DAY AFTER DAY WEEK AFTER WEEK!! Isnt it routine for investigators to do the powder residue test on suicides? Just to be sure they are suicides? In your opinion...why do you think that LCSO didnt do this test? Especially since Mr. Vaughn was not considered a suspect in the boys murders. Who knows....for all they knew it could have been the same killer. They had no concrete leads.

Art, Glad the surgery went okay.
Just checking back, to see any comments, I might have missed. I'm not sure if I told you, I talked to a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, who was before being a federal Official, worked for the County Sheriff Department.(not Lee County) This Officer asked me what I had recently found out, concerning the (3) Boy's, and I told him about the GSR Test, not being requested or done as a field test. It really shocked me his answer, Lawman.
He replied, something like.....this is the way it is in the South, alot of the "County Deputies" feel they will never be questioned for not requesting/not performing, certain tests as they go by the "good ol' boy system", down here. That's why I quit being a Deputy, and went Federal~!!!!
