"IN THE SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH" article (part 32)
IN THIS WEEKS ARTICLE, I WOULD LIKE TO DEDICATE IT TO THE MOST PROFESSIONAL POLICE OFFICER, I HAVE EVER HAD THE HONOR TO MEET.
THIS IS FOR YOU LAWMAN!
WITHOUT YOUR HELP, KINDNESS, AND GENEROSITY, I DOUBT WE WOULD HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR.
UPON DEDICATING THIS ARTICLE TO YOU, I FEEL IT ONLY RIGHT TO RE-POST A COMMENT THAT YOU HAD PREVIOUSLY POSTED, WHICH BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES!
IT WAS SO POWERFUL, AND YOU, SIR!
LIVE UP TO EVERY WORD, OF THIS COMMENT!
"THE POLICE CODE OF ETHICS"
There are few professions that demand so much moral fiber as policing.
Police stand in "harm's way" not so much against enemies with bullets, but against enemies skilled in every form of trickery, deceit, feigned ignorance, and deception.
That's why the "Law Enforcement Code of Ethics", published by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, stands as a spirited reminder to the higher order, of this calling:
* As a Law Enforcement Officer, my fundamental duty is to serve mankind; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the Constitutional rights of all men to liberty, equality and justice.
* I will keep my private life unsullied as an example to all; maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn, or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare or others. Honest in thought and deed in both my personal and official life, I will be exemplary in obeying the laws of the land and the regulations of my department.
* Whatever I see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to me in my official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of my duty.
* I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.
* I recognize the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith, and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of the police service.
I will constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating myself before God to my chosen profession...law enforcement.
Lawman, you have posted on the blog your comments, concerning these 3 Young Men, being murdered and Mr. Vaughan's, "supposed suicide".
Included in your comments, are the facts you believe to be the truth, concerning Mr. Vaughan's, "supposed suicide" from a "self inflicted gun shot wound, to his head."
Also included, are your thoughts and professional opinion, along with many other questionable issues, involving the investigation, of these 3 Young Men's, Case.
You have always been very professional, and respectful, to the utmost degree.
Even as far as calling these Officials, who did this unprofessional investigation, "Your Brothers In Blue"!
I don't know about anyone else's opinion, but this Sir, to me, shows a man of character, honesty, courage, and kindness.
Who has the upmost respect, for
"All Officers Of The Law".
You have gone out of your way, in helping us to find the justice, that these 3 Boy's DESERVE, so desperately.
And YOUR DEDICATION, may very possibly help, find closure for these Parents........... to finally know, WHY- their Son's were murdered, and who the true killer/killers are.
There are no words to explain our GRATITUDE, and our HEARTFELT, thanks!
We feel You, in your generosity, and truthfulness, are attempting to solve this mystery, that has torn so many lives apart.
This is much more then these Local and "State of Alabama" Officials, can EVER say.
All the while, you've kept your professionalism, by respecting and showing your respect for, "Your Brothers In Blue", even the ones that have not earned, this respect.
Yet, you still call them, "Your Brother's and Sisters".
I myself........think your one hell of a man, Lawman!!
You are the whole package.
You live up to everything you stand for, and so very much more!
In closing this weeks article, I have but two questions to ask.
The first is addressed to:
Sheriff Jay Jones, D.A. Abbett, Investigator Keith Jordan, Captain Van Jackson, and Captain James Majors.
Can each and everyone of you, look deep inside your hearts and honestly say the same, about yourselves?
Do you deserve to wear, this badge?
Do you live up to the oath in which you took, to wear this badge?
Be honest with yourselves, and remember why..........you decided to become an "Officer Of The Law".
What made you want to be, an "Officer Of The Law"?
Ask yourselves these questions honestly, and then answer this question-
Do you deserve to wear this badge, because you are living up to YOUR oath?
This oath in which you all took, upon receiving this badge.
If even just one of you feel, that you have lived up to this oath, then I would think.......you would come forward with the "honest to God's truth", as to what really happened on March 26, 2004, to Scooter Stephens, Jason Barr, and Daniel S. Foster.
Reveal to these Parents, the events which took the lives of these three innocent Young Men, and destroyed these Families, who loved their Son's..........so very, very, much!
My second question goes to Mrs. Jo Ann Vaughan.
Ma'am you yourself, have lost two children, one to a "supposed suicide" and the other, was just an infant........from what I have read.
Your own husband KNEW....... your oldest Son was murdered, not that he took his own life!
How is it, that you live with yourself day after day, with this horrid secret inside of you?
Your answers to these Parents, could set so many families, friends, and others...... free, and give them some type of closure, to this horrible mystery!
I am just mystified, by your not coming forward with the truth of all that REALLY HAPPENED that terrible day, to these poor innocent Young Men, who were murdered,
ON YOUR PROPERTY!
Then to top everything off, your husband is found by you, also dead!
Yet, you remain silent.
Remember Mrs. Vaughan, there will come a day, in which you no longer will be able to remain silent.
God knows everything, you cannot lie to him.
Each day that ends, your one day closer, to answering to God.
I would think it better to answer here on Earth, and ask for everyone's forgiveness, than to remain silent.
With your age, and the fact each day brings you that much closer to the day, in which God will be calling your name to come home, you'd think, you would tell these Boy's Parent's, the truth.........but again, this is just my opinion...........

JUSTICE WOULD NEVER BE SERVED, for Daniel, Scooter, and Jason~!!!!
And tiotally impossible for the Family and friends of these homicide victims, to ever try and gain any type of closure.

I too am very blessed to have a Police Officer helping me, with these (3) Boy's Investigation. A Law Officer who has the integrity and honesty, that Lawman holds close to his heart, and lives by.
I certainly wish, HOPE, AND PRAY.....I can find someone here in Alabama, or one of the Lawman's Associates........ who can intervene, in these (3) Young Men's murder investigation.
This is the only way,(in my own opinion) Lee County, Alabama will have ANY HOPE of gaining THE TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENED TO Daniel, Scooter, and Jason~!!!!!!!!
A Law Enforcement Team, that would be unbiased and investigate ALL CRIMES IN LEE COUNTY ALABAMA, such as Lawman has, and uses within HIS OWN POLICE DEPARTMENT~!!!!!

There is no need to hear from anyone involved so far, (other then the Law Officials helping us figure out this mess) surrounding the Boy's Investigation, who has been previously involved~!!!!!!
For all these Officials have and continue to do, is lie, contradict themselves, and cover-up the TRUTH~!!!!!!!!!
The Lee County Officials,involved with Daniel's, Scooter's, and Jason's Cases............... do not KNOW THIS OATH, (this is the only reason I can think, they do not practice it). Maybe ALABAMA OFFICERS TAKE A DIFFERENT OATH THEN THE REST OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA~!!!!!!!!!!
All the other crimes investigated in Lee County, other then drugs......ARE HANDLED THE SAME SLOPPY 1/2 ASSED WAY, these (3) Young Men's was/still is~!!!!!!~!!!!!!!!

the Cases these Lee County Officials have prosecuted,
THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING WRONG, (not matching up/not making sense)with the Local Officials, investigations~!!!!!!!!!
Doesn't it seem odd the only cases that get solved, and are prosecuted thoroughly, in Lee County, Alabama...........
are the DRUG RELATED CASES~?????
Theft, murder, home invasion.......THESE NEVER GET SOLVED....ONLY THE DRUG RELATED ONES~!!!!!!!!!

THE REASONS THESE OFFICIALS DON'T EVEN TRY TO KEEP THEIR LIES, DECEPTION,AND THEIR STORIES STRAIGHT IS "WHY" BOTHER? I AGREE TOTALLY,
with your opinion no one has ever challenged the Lee County Sheriff Department, and the other Lee County Officials, involved with Daniel, Scooter, and Jason's homicides.
If one thing I have learned through all the research, talking to witnesses, and other citizens of Lee County, and my past experiences with this Local Agency is HOW MANY TIMES THESE LOCAL OFFICIALS, HAVE DONE WRONG AND DECEPTIVE ACTS, in the course of their investigations, within Lee County.
Yet, no where in my research have I found ANYONE, but Ms. Sheri and I, who have challenged the Lee County Sheriff Department, about their lack of investigative qualities, their integrity, and their deception~!!!!!!!
Why, has there been NO ONE ELSE~??????~???
Do these Officials have this much power, they scare the local everyday, citizen~???
Just what does keep someone from challenging an investigation, that THEY OBVIOUSLY KNOW, is conflicting, and coherst~???
I know I have MYSELF, have been dealing with the Lee County Sheriff Department, for the last 16 years~!!!!!
Just as in my first dealings with them, this Agency is just as incompetent, as it was way back then~!!!!!!
As I am sure you can remember my stating in previous articles of
"In Search For The Truth",
one of the 1st statements I asked Daniel's Father was
"PLEASE TELL ME THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN IN, LEE COUNTY"~!!!
When the reply from Daniel's Dad came back, it happened in Beauregard, I KNEW IN MY HEART.......THESE OFFICIALS WOULD NEVER UPHOLD THEIR DUTY, for my family.......
THEY NEVER HAD~!!!!!
So why in the world, should I feel anything would change, with Daniel's homicide........... especially since much less horrendous investigations, had been fouled in the years past~!!!!!!
Now instead of Jay Jones being a Captain/Investigator, he was NOW the "SHERIFF" ~!!!!
My heart and soul sank at that very second, I came to realize Daniel's death/cold-blooded murder, had happened in Lee County, and was now being handles by the same person, who had let me down so terribly on past investigations, I had been involved in with them~!!!!!!!!
TO KNOW THE SAME INVESTIGATOR.........
WHO HAD DONE SUCH AN INADAQUATE JOB, with affairs regarding my family in the past, WAS NOW IN CHARGE, and the Sheriff over the entire ordeal with my Younger Son's homicide, was someone I knew already to be incompetent in his duties.........
All I can say is my heart and soul sank, because at this point I KNEW Daniel, nor Scooter, nor Jason's homicides..........
WOULD EVER BE SOLVED, CORRECTLY~!!!!!!!!

Why has NO-ONE, EVER RAN AGAINST SHERIFF JONES, IN AN ELECTION~????
Surely, there are others who feel Sheriff Jones, is not doing his job, as well as it could be done~!!!!!!!
Or, at the very least surely SOMEONE,
WOULD WANT THE SHERIFF'S POSITION, for the salary the Sheriff does make, and the benefits this elected position provides~!!!!!!!

To answer your question as to why "Nobody" runs against Jones at election time? Ummm How's about the idea of getting knocked off makes them think twice? The mailing list is set to go out between Monday and Wendsday of each week. This weeks mailing list is delayed by my waiting on the update for the article.
As much as I like to thank everyone for their help with the articles and I couldnt get it done each week without Cindy and Debbi, I need to set a dead line for articles to be in by for them to be posted.
After this week, articles will need to be to me no later then saturday to be in the followning weeks update. Any articles recieved after Saturday will not make the following weeks update.
I have to do this because we have other peoples work on The Weekly News and it is unfare to them to not have their information updated by one thing not being in on time for the weekly update. I also have other work to get done and I set aside time to do the updates on Monday or Tuesday. When I do not get the info for updates in time, it changes my time frame on other things as well.
Also the mailing list that goes out is not only for A Search for the Truth, it covers other sites and services. By delaying this mailing list it makes the other services look bad as well.
In closing:
Mailing list will be going out Tues. or Wends. of each week, and dead line for updates on anything (not just A search for the Truth) to be completed in time for the mailing list is Saturday.
I do thank everyone for their help, but I do have to work with other services and updates as well. Please understand and work with me on this. It would help me and make us look better by making our updates more on a set schedule.
